Willies Top 10 Rock Songs and Artists from 1965... and Why?
I want to take this opportunity to Gab directly with my almost 5K Musical Friends that I have hand-picked to be a part of a special community of CRockers... When my Website is finished (Jan 25), I will have a set of Forums for us to Gab together about Life, Liberty, and Classic Rock... Rock On ♪♪♪
First, I want to tell you what I am up to with my Journey and why I created this Facebook Page...
In 1965, graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Major in "Electronic Engineering" and a Minor in "Music Appreciation". My Major got me a job at AT&T just when the Electronic Revolution was just starting and brought us the Cellular Teley, the Internet, and Musical Equipment that would make Rock n Roll and the Subgenres of Rock evolve to the excellence of the Innovative Sounds we enjoy today.
I was employed as the Manager of 3 Rock bands that played, mostly, at the TKE Fraternity in Madison which was a Sister City to Berkeley in terms of "Stirring the Pot" in protest of the Establishment... hell, before the 4 assholes blew up the Military Science Building in August 1970 after Kent State in May, things were well organized in Peaceful Protests were held mostly without incident, for me at least. I felt that by using Music as a release from all of the Crap helped a lot of us who were lost as to why it was even going on.
My Job at AT&T for the next 3+ years took me to every State in the US to talk to Universities about the types of curriculum they needed to develop to get on board the locomotive that was unstoppable on its Journey. It also took me to Europe, Asia, and Australia to talk with suppliers of Electronic Chips and boards for potential working relationships... I got 3 benefits from all of those trips:
I met so many wonderful People and got to talk to every music School there about Classic Rock
I got to go to over 59 concerts as I could schedule my Summer visits timed with Concerts
I received over 1 Mill FF Miles that I gave to all my Family and Friends... why did I need them???
As I am approaching 80now and I am fulfilling the last of my Bucket list to create a "Tuition Free" School to help young Musicians, Singer-Songwriters-Composers, and Sound Engineers understand the Art of "listening to the Sounds of Music"...
